Cyclonic wind: roof uplift and tie-down chain calculator

Roof uplift on a house or shed in any wind region, including the cyclonic Regions C and D. Regional speed VR = F(a − bR^−0.1), site speed with terrain and shielding multipliers, design pressures with external Cpe, internal Cpi (+0.7 for a dominant opening unless the envelope is debris-rated), the local pressure factor at edges, and the net uplift after 0.9G carried through the batten-to-rafter fixing and the rafter/truss tie-down. Flags the cyclic (fatigue) testing required for cladding in Regions C and D.

Standard: AS/NZS 1170.2:2021 Sec 2–5 (VR, Mz,cat, Cpe, Cpi, Kl) · AS 4055 / AS 1684.3 tie-down · AS 4040.3 low-high-low cyclic test
